| Introductory Course in Java |

| The course should include introductory programming concepts and Java syntax.
A student who has taken courses in an object-oriented computer programming language and has had the equivalent of at least one year programming
experience in that language can petition the Internet Technology faculty to waive this requirement.
An introductory course in Java is a prerequisite for the programming courses in the program, and therefore must be completed before starting courses in the program. |

| Notebook Computer |

| All students are required to have a notebook or laptop computer which will be used
in class as well as for assigments and projects. The computer should meet the technical specifications listed below. (* are required specifications. The others are optional but recommended.) |
